He studied School Music at the Maastricht Conservatory (The Netherlands), Choral Conducting at the Aachen Conservatory (Germany) and Orchestra Conducting in Leuven (Belgium)
As a conductor of 6 choirs, two mixed, two male, one female and a chamber choir, Dion Ritten won several prices at national and international competitions.
He works internationally as a clinician, adjudicator and workshop leader and attends symposia as the Europa Cantat Festivals, World Symposia on Choral Music, ACDA Conventions USA and more.
He is the founder and Artistic Director of the CantaRode International Choral Festival & Competition in his hometown Kerkrade, The Netherlands.

Presentation and singing of newly composed and innovative contemporary repertoire for male choirs. Many male choirs and conductors seem to have difficulties in finding good repertorie for their choir. I would like to bring them 25 titles of newly composed male choral music.
