Joško ĆALETA (HR)

JOŠKO ĆALETA (Trogir, 1964), ethnomusicologist, music pedagogue, producer and conductor, is research assistant (PhD) at the IEF institute Zagreb, Croatia.
Performer and artistic director of several klapa ensembles, associate conductor of Croatian National Folklore Ensemble Lado, member expert, advisory and prize-awarding juries at festivals throughout Croatia. Founder of Kantaduri (2008) that collaborate with ensemble Dialogos (Katarina Livljanić), Paris in projects: Dalmatica, Heretical Angels. Current research is on modern klapa singing, Croatian religious singing (Glagolitic singing), ojkanje and gusle traditions of the Dinaric Hinterland of Croatia.
