A strong tradition of collective singing in Russia is as old as the nation exists and many songs are like musical pages of a great chronicle of this country. And for nowadays people in different corners of Russia continue to perform songs of their ancestors experiencing the same feelings and emotions – joyfulness and sorrow, love and hatred, call of duty and patriotism. The atelier shall include a pair of Russian folk songs in the ‘a cappella’ arrangement that will demonstrate contrast sides and variety of this rich musical tradition.
