VIDEOS/SOUNDS CONNECTED TO THE ATELIER TOPIC

In this atelier we will embark on a journey to explore the virtual (sound-)world of famous computer games. We will start with a trip through the history of video gaming, from the classics to current games. There will be many well-known game tune classics from games as Super Mario, Tetris, Civilization, etc.

Highlight of our journey will be an interactive choir performance, recreating selected games live on stage. We will also explore the possibility of inviting members of the audience to play a video game against each other live in concert. We will comment and score this game live in action – only by using our voices!

To create the sound we will explore the use of electric devices, loop stations, electronic vocal effects, distortion, flanger and chorus in order to give the human voice a virtual, electronic touch. So let’s go digital!

"Be innovative with your voice and join our Atelier creating sounds of famous classics to current games such as Super Mario, Tetris, Civilisation, etc.
Highlight will be the live-creation of sounds of a game played on a large video screen. We will use new technologies like loop-stations, electronic effects and beat-boxing elements..."
